I'm curious--what are your thoughts?
The obvious concern is, since BLS and ALS ambulances don't respond to the exact same call, but rather, are part of different systems, how do you ensure a fair comparison? The article claims to have done statistical models to take this into account.
If what the article says is valid, the "fly like the wind" approach to EMS may have some merit after all.
