I'm finished with my EMT-I classes and passed my practical. I took my written exam today and feel comfortable about it. So once I get reciprocity for Georgia I hope to be working somewhere in the Atlanta area. I'm open to working from Grady to 50-60 miles out if necesarry but would prefer something closer to town since I live in ITP.
But I just don't want to hire on to any company because they are close or pay the best. I'm curious what are some good companies to work for.
I know of some EMS companies in the Atlanta area.
Central EMS
Priority
Rural/Metro
Metro Atlanta
Grady
I guess Dekalb and Gwinnett have their own systems.
Is it worth working as an ER tech?
Any info is appreciated.
EDIT: Just checked my status and I passed the written so once my numbers come in I'll be good to go!
