Have any of you heard of or taken Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, also known as ASIST? I took it on Thursday/Friday. Its awesome and very useful.

Never heard of it but I think it's great you took it. I think anything mental health related is a good thing to hone up on. Got a website on it?

No, but underwent training in 1971 using Schneidman and Farberow's books and ripping off the training manual for the LA CHildren's Hospital Hotline (mostly Rogerian reflective listening).
Or is my age showing, or what?
