Are you Happy being a paramedic

Dislikes: Getting my meals interrupted, Allstate-itis, and getting broken sleep is beginning to wear on me.

Other than that, I still enjoy the work, for the most part. Being in a fire based system helps, because I can get a break from the call volume and do something different some of the time. If I was back in NYC, I would be nearing burnout and looking for something different by now. Sitting on street corners for not enough money gets real old after a while.
 
It's a pretty awesome career. You have to put up with heaps of BS but there are some calls that make everything worth it. It's fun and fulfilling and you get to help people out so that makes it pretty hard to beat.
 
When I get to be a medic, I love it.
When I'm a nanny or den mother, not so much.
 
similar quote posted above, but "you stop working the minute you enjoy what you do"!
