I saw on FB that LAFD will begin excepting applications on May 1st for Firefighter positions. Is this true or another hoax. Please advise

But yes, they are setting up a second hiring process and will be accepting applications in May 2016 that will be run concurrent with the current list from the 2014 application (i.e. if you applied in 2014 you're still in the lotto to get a written test or wherever else you happen to be in the process) and they have said if you are on the 2014 list you may also apply in May if you so desire.
