Are there any services hiring paramedics in eastern/southeastern washington state? Preferably ones that have some of the 911 contracts. I have 3 years experience in an fast paced urban 911 city service 10-18 calls/12 hr shift.

I'd even be willing to work in parts of Idaho that boarder the southern side of Washington State.

If anyone has some services to recommend please let me know!

(Another question of mine - does AMR spokane have the primary 911 contract for spokane, or do they do IFTs/Nursing home emergencies)

Eastern WA Services

I can't speak for Spokane, as I haven't been there much since I was an itty-bitty baby, but I know if you want to go more rural (like Brahma bulls in your backyard rural), Lifeline Ambulance is based out of Wenatchee, but they have smaller bases up and down the valley (Okanogan/Omak, Chelan, etc).

I don't know if they are currently hiring, as the economy is terrible in that area, but most of the fire departments are strictly volunteer and do not transport, so in many areas they are primary 911 response.

Somewhere in between Podunk and Spokane is the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Richland, Pasco). I am pretty sure AMR operates there (at least in nearby Yakima), but so does Mid-Columbia Ambulance. A smaller service, but I have actually had to deal with them before. I believe they are strictly IFT, but maybe some BLS transport for Fire. Again, not sure if they are hiring, but I know at least Lifeline is on the web.

Wish I could offer more definitive help, but at least I could throw some names out there... Good Luck!

Yakima has "advanced life systems". 911 contract and IFT too. Busy system, 48 hour shifts and crappy pay. :)

AMR currently has the 911 contract in Spokane (and I believe Spokane Valley) but I have heard rumors/ read snippets that Rural/Metro may be gunning for the contract here soon when it comes up for resigning.

Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it. I'm in the Moscow/Pullman area so driving to Yakima, Wenatchee, and tri cities would be a little too far especially considering the winter roads here.

Does the Spokane AMR have a recruiter or does anyone have an contact email for anyone there? Their website has a generic spokane @ amr.net email listed.

If anyone knows of any other services in the Moscow/Pullman area please let me know!
