Any CCEMPTs out there?

Hey everyone,

I just passed UMBCs CCEMTP course. While my private company does offer CCT services, the experience and exposure is limited. I would like to do something I little bit more in the hospital setting to actually get some exposure and if there are any other CCEMTPs out there I was curious where are you working? Or is it strictly CCT transports? Do hospitals ever hire CCEMTPs on ICU floors or cardiac unit floors or anything like that?

Also, I live in the Ann Arbor area and currently work in the metro-Detroit area.

Most positions for CCEMTP medics will be in the ambulance transport service.

I've heard of ICUs using CCEMTP medics to help the nurses.... but I've never actually seen it. You'd have to check your local hospitals.

I believe NY Presbyterian in NYC is hiring CC-EMTPs right now and they deal with alot of ground CC transports in upstate NY,Long Island, NJ & PA.
