Interesting article here http://spectrum.ieee.org/biomedical/devices/the-shocking-truth-about-defibrillators about various failure modes of public AEDs. This got me thinking about our local AED maintenance plan, which is basically a best effort affair. We manage a total of about 25 that we own and distribute to the town, plus we're the unofficial technical point of contact for the private AEDs (restaurants, businesses, etc). I think we do this in a very ad hoc way. Some are probably never seen annually.

Seeing a need I thought I'd throw together a simple app to help with this. Allow the user to enter info about an AED (location, owner, phone, email, make, model, etc) and then let them electronically fill out the standard AHA inspection report (http://kinesiology.acadiau.ca/tl_files/sites/rec/PDF/aed_maintenance_checklist.pdf)

Like I said we're a small town and we have about 25 total. I'd be interested to hear how many AEDs you are responsible for and what other info you would like to see included in an app.
