My vote goes to Danner high quality, comfortable, last forever, and can be resoled/refurbed at factory for a modest price. Also their better boots are made in the U.S.A..
Was working just one job but now need to look for another as the one job in an effort to save money has now gone from virtually unlimited overtime to none, effectively cutting my take home pay in half.
How bad does one's life have to be that you would willingly put a substance into your body that makes your appendages fall off? I cant see this catching on here not because of the of codeine being hard to get but the fact that U.S. substance abusers have much better alternatives.
Just remember you'll only be lifting a portion of that weight, hope the other person is good. On the other hand the 2/3 of America is obese, you will routinely lift people a lot heavier than that, then throw in the weight of equipment and the stretcher and you're way past 175 pounds. Learn to...
Currently for boots it Belleville Khyber, I liked what I read about it being a "combat hiker", recieved them and they seem to deliver on this claim, and areexceptionally comfortable. If they're half as durable as the military issue Bellevilles I've had I should have them a good long time. As for...
AS its getting cold and I'm not a big fan of being uncomfortable I just ordered some Mechanix covert gloves from amazon, should be good for providing a barrier between me and cold metal stairchair, stretcher, etc and the cold in general. Pt. care will be good old exam gloves though. BTWthey are...

I do remember seeing a brochure when I was at Ft. Knox doing my 68W from a school that gives credit for time spent as 68W, so you spend less time in paramedic school, I believe it was National EMS Academy in Louisiana but there may be others. And this will probably be as good as it gets as the...
Well if I weighed my pants they would probably be about 10 pounds on any given day. Right front empty, left front empty, right back wallet, left empty right cargo mini tac light clipped in , right now it is a 5.11 atac a1, gloves, purell, and Nite eyes s-clips for hanging bags, left cargo...
Thats a bit of a trip and thanks for lightening the load. They treating you well ? as the report I got was the out of staters were sleeping on the bus and eating what they brought with them. Hope Uncle Sam is at least providing with you with a nice soft cot, and a nice brown bag meal aka MRE ;)
After 3 days off from work I got a big surprise, posted in Nassau County, Southern part specifically and saw Fire Depts. from all over the state which was no big surprise but what was a surprise was seeing ambulances and crews from all over the country. Tennessee, Missouri, Texas, and have...
I live in New York and took Critical Care first which is the N.Y. version of I-99, and remembered I liked EMS more than my current job so I then went to Paramedic school. My fire dept. picked up the CC school so I didn't waste money but if I did go directly to Medic I would have saved some time...
Hopefully this place doesn't constitute the lions share of your sisters rotations, she at least found some good examples of what not to do.Thankfully she was educated enough to see her preceptors for what they were. If this were to continue throughout rotations with this company though I'd let...
