    I say go for it. It's the best thing I've ever done and I LOVE my job. I wish that rescue was something I'd gone ahead and pursued when I was young. I know that it depends a lot on where you find work, but it IS possible to find make a career out of it while you're pursuing more education...

    I just read the book and talked with my classmates. I know a lot of folks used flash cards for definitions. I also used an online nremt prep site that I think was helpful in pointing out what I didn't know. :) Good Luck!

    Some of the seasonal jobs can pay enough to make it through the year and once you get into the field there become a lot of opportunities available as long as your able to move with them.
