I love EMS, and as an EMT-B, I am definitely looking forward to advancing in my career. I was hot and heavy on Paramedic school, when I started researching the pay rates of RN's! I don't want to work in the hospital permanently, I do like the truck pace. I'm wondering if an RN can also work as a...
In EMT school, during my clinical rotation, my medic wore a stab vest. All the time, every time. I asked her why, and all she would tell me is that she had a close call, and will never get close again.
I am curious, who here wears a stab vest or bullet proof vest regularly, and what type of...
Well, if you didn't want to see, you probably wouldn't have opened this thread up. I was trying to "desensitize" myself this evening, by researching injuries that I might find on the job. I didn't think I would have a problem with it, until I started reading some posts on here.... now I'm not...
I am due to take a pre-employment physical later this week for employment with a private ambulance company. I am concerned about a possible "strength" test. Has anyone taken a physical with a strength test, and if so, what did it consist of?

Got a question for you guys...

Hi all,
Now that I am licensed as an EMT-B, now what? I have written to several fire stations and hospitals, and haven't heard back. I have not had any luck finding employment ads for EMT's, other than some nursing jobs that want an EMT as a pre-requisite. I don't mean to sound childish, but...
Hello, all....
I had an experience during one of my clinicals that seems to have stuck to me, and I wanted to know your take on the situation, just for my own knowledge. Of course, I realize that none of you were actually "there", but I'd love to hear your thoughts on this situation "in...
First and foremost, hello to everyone here- both the "seasoned", and the "plain". This is truly a great forum!
I must confess that I have been a lurker on here for the last few months, and have been on and off of this forum for just about everything from research to motivation. I...
