I'm sure it will eventually lead to more regulations, but I don't have any first hand experience with HEMS.

I'm going to maintain my initial point that EMS is fundamentally different from the Fire service, and should be treated as a wholly separate entity, not as part of a Fire service.
Is there a post requirement to be able to use the invitation system. It's telling me I have 100 to use, but the system blocks me from accessing them.

Ok, I've had a JEMs subscription for about a year, but it's almost run out. I'm really disappointed for a so-called Journal of EMS. I'm looking for something with more medicine, and less eye candy and advertising, like a true professional journal. Any suggestions?
One of the services I part-time for just adopted new protocols for breathing treatments. Many of the medics were expecting atrovent to be added to the albuterol we already carry, but instead the medical director opted to add Xopenex. (levalbuterol) Does anyone have any experience with this drug...
Well, I just finished up testing for EMT-Basic Advanced. Its an Indiana certification which adds IV Access, BGL checks, and 3-lead monitoring with basic rhythm interpretation.
Its all rather anticlimactic, but I'm looking forward to getting some sticks in before medic school.
