I just got called for an interview at six flags over Georgia. Going to see what it's all about.

I try. It's not like if I'm not already on that end I say I can't lift it, I get it up as high as I can. If that's what you're saying, I don't make excuses when I'm on shift. I think it's a good compromise that if I lift the foot end and load.

Lol, yes! One girl claims she can't load or lift the head end of the stretcher because she's pregnant.... Meanwhile she's smoking. *rolls eyes* and that's a good idea! I'll try rowing exercises.

It takes me 2 lifts to get the head end up. I really don't know. I just squat down, tighten my abs and stand up. It is CONSIDERABLY harder for me to lift that end though. My partners are usually understanding (and taller) than i am. I'm not saying my arms are weak, but i curl then on...

Core and squats. I used to ride horses,which is all those muscles. and I'm 5'2" and 200. I can load and lift the foot end up to about 325. I lift better than half the guys i work with. But I can only lift the head end to full height at about 200. Get those legs working!

My local fire/ems put together a nice package for him. Shirts, stickers, cards, everything. :-)

That's cool that you have that program. I might see if there's anything I can do like that. I never did get to do er clinicals for my a, but i could ride the ambulance as much as I wanted to, which was a lot. I did find out that the first and only cardiac arrest i have worked started...

I thought it was neat. Our hospitals seem to be very ems friendly. It would be cool if you could do it with any patient though.

One of our local hospitals has a stroke follow up program for ems. Before you leave the hospital you can get the assigned "number" of the patient, then follow up online about how they turned out. Anybody else have any sort of program like this for stroke, mi, trauma, etc?

I got hired on the spot for a medical transport company. It's not my dream job, but I'm brand new so i can't be picky. I'm thinking of it as a stepping stone

I just passed my advanced registry first try!!!

Not working yet.... But as a student? 1 year old with diaper rash. She didn't have a ride to the hospital to get more cream for her poor little boys rash that turned into a yeast infection.
