    ER tech job You don't need phlebotomy license at all ER tech spots but experience is usually a must for the position unless you "know" someone. A good idea might be to work as a transporter and get an "in" with the ER and try to get hired once they know you.:P

    How did you learn to intubate?

    I think most times CPR should not be interrupted but some difficult intubation's stopping for 5-10 seconds is needed....

    CPR when its not needed

    Probably not common I would think...usually the Docs are not doing the CPR so they can ask questions, Order drugs, order tests, and figure out the plan. I think CPR would take away from the concentration...also there are usually Lots and lots of people in the hospital to take turns on the CPR...

    I have always heard what the military practices (especially new techniques) happens first then is implemented to civilian....hear the same?

    Yup fruit in the morning puts you on the right track I have found. Bringing your food to your EMS job is the ONLY way to stay healthy...otherwise to hectic to try to eat healthy.

    I agree, dependent on BP. If boarder line I would want an IV.... especially if the patient is a hard stick.... if great veins than probably different.

    I had a patient who had a bad toe laceration and put tobacco in the cut.... said it was an old remedy...

    Buying a study guide book worked for me. My advice would be don't read to in depth into the question. Just answer common sense ABCs order.
