We have arguably one of the worst dispatchers of all time.
Picture this: A 300 lb dispatcher siting in front of his council eating a bowl of chili that's resting on his beer gut.
Pushes the mic and mumbles an incomprehensible ten fa. To pretty much any message that gets transmitted...
Hey TampaSteve.

Is it possible to have that much potassium build up to put some on in a V-fib without showing any signs on the EKG? I'm simply asking in regards to education?
You said you took a 12 lead, where there any changes that would indicate hyper kalmia?
TCA overdose? You did say the family mentioned she seemed normal the night before, but any mention if she took any medications, including her prescribed Insulin?
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who chimed in. I have a ton of research to do.
I am a new paramedic and as Milla stated, I may not have had the best training. (Still a poor excuse)

RI protocols state that Fentanyl is the preferred choice narcotic for chest pain when it's cardiac related. (Other than CHF)
So we discussed the benefits of Morphine, especially is CHF,but for CAD pts. is there added benefit to Fentanyl opposed to Morphine?
So I was wondering what you guys thought about the effects of Morphine vs. Fentanyl on myocardial O2 demands.
In Medic school they taught me the MONA acronym for remembering tx. of CHF.
(Morphine, O2, Nitro, ASA)
My protocols specifically suggest using Morphine for CHF because it decreases...
I actually just took the NREMT-P at ERG in East Providence RI. They just recently started testing there. It was refreshing because I took my Medic class there as well. But from everyone I talked to said it was a fairly laid back atmosphere . I'm in no way trying to indorse one company over the...
Magnesium Sulfate is the drug I've gone to after a few rounds of Albuterol didn't resolve the problem and I've never had it fail.
Does Mag work the same way as Atrovent in that it is a antichlornergic?
Can you tell me, would the pt. still have the allergic reaction of you gave the Terbutaline? I know it's also beta 2 stimulant, but I simply don't know enough about physiology to know for sure.
