    Nremt

I passed my Practicals last Saturday with flying colors. Took my written exam today, and the computer cut off at 85 questions... don't know if that is a good sign or a bad one. Anyway, now it is just waiting for my results to be posted, and I am a nervous wreck!

    BP Checks

I have had the toughest time in class this week, with a procedure that should be simple. I have been unable to correctly measure BP. I had the cuff and stethescope correctly placed, but when I pumped the BP cuff up, I was unable to hear the initial beats of the systolic pressure. I could...

    Universal Precautions vs. BSI Question

Ok. I started Basic yesterday and already have a dumb question. In my previous healthcare employment, I was always taught that treating all blood and body fluids as if they are contaminated along with handwashing, etc. is Universal Precautions. Now, I am also being introduced to Body...

    EMT and LEO

Hello all. I start EMT-B next Tuesday, aspiring to make it to the Paramedic level...the other side of the scenario is that I am married to a cop. So, you can see how the jokes and bantering has escalated within my house. Have you guys had any experience with EMT's and LEO's being married?
