I was a computer field engineer before I started in EMS. That was 21 years ago. God forbid something happens and I can’t work EMS anymore, it would probably be two years of studying and getting new certifications to be able to do that job again. Not even sure I’d want to do that kind of work...
I’ve got old t-shirts that are still like new, but have our old base name on them. So I just use them as workout shirts at the gym. Being in a military town nobody notices or cares, and I’d much rather put them to use, than to rip them up and use them to clean my rifles.
If they are at the facility and the staff there is doing all the work it wouldn’t be an EMTLA violation. They are just using your stretcher as a extra bed essentially and tying you up from being able to go available for another call. It’s messed up to be sure, but when there are no appropriate...
True, but how often have we seen it where they haven’t made any inquiries too. Also a better question would have been does anyone work with this organization or know someone who does. It’s a question that someone who works there would know or someone familiar with the organization.
You’ll lose. You got advice you needed and in EMS the way it works with the test is you either know the material and can apply it or you don’t. NREMT is testing not on how much you can remember, but how do you apply the information into a given situation.
The protocols being pushed by DOD were poorly written and made by docs who didn’t understand what paramedics especially do, are trained in, or how a prehospital response is. I actually know one of the paramedic advisors for the protocols and he raised lots of issues but was struck down in pretty...
I was curious if they went back to bench seats. Currently we have those crappy Captain chairs that barely give space between the stretcher and the chair for people to put their legs. It gets tight back there with multiple people and someone on the stretcher
Probably shouldn’t tell you that years back when I worked in CA how the DMV lost my paperwork after it went to Sacramento and their solution was to just use my temp card till it was time to renew. The CA DMV is the most inefficient governmental organization I’ve seen and I work for the federal...
Well the head guy did come from the Park Service. I just can’t believe he actually had them do those graphics. 🤦♂️ When he visited my post he was talking all about that.
