    EDC Bag

Got one of those as well, it's more than you will ever need, but works great as a travel bag

    Hard Decision

I agree with NPO, UCLA's rep isn't what it used to be. It's pricey and you get your field internship in LA County which is great if you plan on staying in LA county for your career, if not you will be deficient in many skills, medications, and how things work outside a major metropolitan area...

    Any care ambulance medics here??

Ok, but from experience I can tell you it doesn't matter which company you work for they all do the same thing and operate under the same protocols. The only real difference is the hourly wage and how they pay you. If you're looking for how it is to work there even the EMTs from care can give...

    Any care ambulance medics here??

I used to work in LA county as a paramedic. It's all fire, unless you get to work a stand by as a paramedic you will almost never give medication and never start an iv. Plus you are essentially an EMT with a monitor.

No more holding the wall and it's not on you that they left. So I guess things were easy after that.

Airborne Combat Medic care for Paratroopers

C-spine if indicated. Follow your protocols for your unit. A lot of what you will see with PLF injuries is a lot of sprained or broken ankles and a few tib/fib fx

Tow company under fire for booting ambulance

Exactly. It boils down to being respectful of the owner of the parking lot. If it's a private lot, don't park there unless you are patronizing the business or they specifically say it's ok and then you park as far away from the business as possible.

Ran a code first call of my career

Time and experience will be your friend. Use what you are dispatched for as a opportunity to review in your head the treatment for that condition, and then be prepared for it to be something totally different. The saying look like a duck, calm on the surface but paddling furiously underneath...

Mother Nature will not listen. I just bought a house myself and am getting ready to move in and it's rained a bit most every day so far.

Have you tried calling the state EMS agency who puts out the test. I'm pretty sure they would know how to go about taking it.

    ALS1 question

Don't think they are interested in giving the whole story. My guess is it's the patient, a lawyer, or the paralegal trying to get the patient out of paying their bill.

    EMT-B Recertification

You can do either and the NREMT site has all the information on recertification that you need

    ALS1 question

Not true as some localities don't allow an EMT to check a blood sugar and it also depends on what the call was dispatched as. I think you are confusing the actual procedure which anyone can do and once it becomes medical personal how not everything that laymen can do is allowed by protocol. A...
