Ran some BLS call out of the local prison and I guess I rubbed our patient the wrong way at some point. So he decided it would be a nice "**** you" to empty his bladder all over my gurney as we pulled into the ER. I love my job.

If you stayed busy by LA IFT standards, and were running 8 calls a day on a normal 12hr shift/42 hour work week schedule, you'd be making $43k/year. 6 calls a day makes $32k. Got these as a gift and wore them for a couple shifts before deciding they were the wrong size. Asking $150. Barely used, PM if interested.

We had an EMT as one of our divisions field supervisors for an ALS 911 company for quite some time. He was assigned to a truck so responding as backup in a supervisor truck was never an issue. There was some animosity from medics being told how to do their jobs by an EMT, but he tended to leave...

Got my first intubation as a medic since internship tonight, GCS of 3 from an intentional ativan OD, and the call went as well as I could have hoped for.

Less than an hour of sleep in 36 hours, and 3 back to back calls out to the edge of our response area. I'm done with this shift.

Your skin is a pretty effective barrier device. If you didn't have any open cuts, didn't get it in your mouth, nose, eyes, or any other oriface, you are more than likely fine. Even if he did have HIV, Hep C, and Ebola, you're still probably fine. I've had blood on me plenty of times. Wipe it off...
