Lovely, after spending a week with all of us (Me, Mom, Dad, Sister) sharing a cabin on the cruise ship, my mom tested positive for COVID...

Wonder if it's too late to go get that annual booster (I never did get it this year) lol

You can always get a booster. I had my first Covid in Oct. it sucked, but was less strong than if I never got vaxxed. You should be boosting flu and Covid each year.

Get you shingles too. When you get it, you will suffer slightly less… Ask me how I know.

Nothing too dramatic, just started running rough at post and died. Another crew got hit transporting an hour before (no injuries), busy day for the tow company. Good riddance to this trashed transit I hope, the other crew was in a brand new type III :(.

Ooof. Called to assist PD with forcible entry on a welfare check, person hasnt been seen since the 1st. Get off the elevator and practically need to mask up due to the smell (which the neighbors say they had been complaining to management for 2 weeks...) and almost don't need to ask which apt door it is, due to severe bug infestation....

Pop the door, hoarder conditions mean it only opens like half a foot. Luckily(?) that's enough to look in from the hall and see that, to no one's surprise, this is indeed an ME case...

Kinda sad, especially this time of year...

Last shift of the year, ended with a bang (literally a 15-20ft tall tire pile in a rundown junkyard....) A whole first alarm assignment lasting several hours (we were dispatched 3rd in around 5-ish... by the time we were cleared, cleaned up hose, and actually back at station going back into service to finally eat dinner, it was like 11 lol)
