i want to start volunteering(emt-b) to get some experience. i have no idea on how to go about finding a place to volunteer with, or even who i can legally do it with. my town is covered by acadian, and they are private, so no volunteering. what are likely places to try? hospital, fire...

every place i have applied to has only asked for my nremt card, and state license. no onehas ever even asked what school i attended.

i need $$! lol. i came across a job paying as well as emt-b's here make, with just as much if not more ot.

i got my license in a week, but have been looking for work for 6 weeks. lol

keep all receipts for spending during school, much of it can be a tax deduction.

my advise is for after the school. make sure that there will be work for you after you graduate. and have some customer service experience on your resume. the school part is pretty easy. itll help if you know basic anatomy(think high school level). honestly i went into it...

had my interview, the guy really liked me, but the lack of experience cost me the job. he said even a job working retail, or wait staff would prolly have got me the job. as there is no other ems job openings(for green emt-b) im looking outside the field. im disappointed of course...
