I just passed my class final and am starting on my ride time,(500hours). I have my 260 clinical hours done. I still lack national boards and NR test. I'm glad you posted this up because I feel the same intimidation and fear.:unsure:

Picked up a respitory distress pt. and had placed them on a n/c 4lpm, upon arriving at the ER forgot to undo the n/c from the o2 port on the wall of the ambulance. My partner never noticed either, I pulled the stretcher out the back of the truck and damn near hung him! oppss

I suppose it's all in what you are used to. I would feel pretty safe with pepper spray to ward off most animals, but you couldnt pay me enough to respond to an inner city call without being armed! The extremely strict gun laws in most cities equals out laws with guns and everyone else vunerable...

If I'm afraid of getting killed or recieving copious amounts of stitching, no, not really!;)

We just covered PEPP last week in our medic class. Wasn't too hard, our instructor said PALS would be much harder.
