Yeah, maybe. I know that I'm not a jackass when it comes to driving, but there are a lot of people my age who drive like crap without lights and sirens. I don't have a great driving record either, so it looks like I'll be S.O.L. until I'm 21. Oh, and what's IFT?

Just went to an interview and they turned me down because I'm not 21, so the insurance company won't insure me to drive the ambulance. Is this the way it is with all ambulance companies? I wish I knew this before I spent my summer getting my EMT-B certification..

Anybody have any recommendations for paramedic school in the Garland/Dallas area? I'd like a place with reasonable school hours and solid teaching, but I'm not sure were to start. The school I got my EMT-B cert from was good for the basics, but I've only heard bad things about the paramedic...

Study and keep up with the work. Judging by your enthusiasm, that shouldn't be an issue.

I'd love it, gets me out of the house. But if I were a patient, I'd feel weary of a guy performing medical interventions on me after 24 hours of calls, let alone 48. I'll keep my 24-48
