    Mobile integrated healthcare: some questions

I’m sorry guys, sorry it takes so long to reply— no excuse this time, saw the emails and frankly just forgot. Sorry. I get what you’re saying remi and company. It’s disheartening. I mean hell in my state they’ve literally issued a memo saying “we know rsi is in your scope, yes a doctor...

    Mobile integrated healthcare: some questions

I’m sorry guys just got to these. I appreciate all your inputs. Remi I get your points. I swear welfare has jaded me. But regardless we all pay taxes even if they won’t help themselves if we can find a way to make a $3000 Er call cost only $2000, they may not help themselves but we’re...

    Mobile integrated healthcare: some questions

So if I’m reading this right (and please correct me if I’m misunderstanding!) hmos essentially say “here’s $10,000 for John Doe for this year” if JD only needs $5,000 then the healthcare group pockets the remaining $5k, but likewise if JD needs $20,000 worth of care then the healthcare group...

    Mobile integrated healthcare: some questions

Im placing this under ALS because in my state it can only be done by ALS providers. However admin if you think there’s a better spot that’ll generate more opinions please move it! And I saw a bunch of notifications but it didn’t tell me what about, sorry I haven’t been active. I recently...

Where is the future of EMS?

I decided to post this thread to see what the general consensus is amongst providers about the future of our field. As I'm sure many of you have, I myself have found myself wondering how long it is until the paycheck dries up and the job disappears. I'm looking to hear everyone's opinion from...

    Cardizem reconsitute?

That's exactly it. I'll be honest as long as my paycheck clears that's as far as I'm concerned about the company. That said when they start playing with meds I get worried about a) it affecting my patients and b) the negative effects winding either my coworkers or I front of an OEMS...

    Cardizem reconsitute?

I am not advertising for anybody so I do apologize if this is not allowed but I figured a picture could be helpful. Lord knows we all know the "doohickeywhatchamacallit" when we see it occasionally! Haha.

    Cardizem reconsitute?

I was hoping to get some opinions here from those who have quite a bit more knowledge than me on this matter. The company I work for has been ordered by the state to put cardizem in all the ALS trucks. The formulary calls for 50mg prefilled vials. However since Dilt requires refrigeration...

    CHF with low BP

Vent: The two goals are to compare my rationale and understanding with those who have more experience to ensure my train of thought is going down the right path. The INR was mentioned because someone mentioned labs-- that was the only lab available. And the 4 Sh*ts is because someone else...

    CHF with low BP

Ok sorry again it took a bit to reply. Patient is an SNF special-- nurse is doing the "I just got here, the last nurse gave report, I never work this floor (in a one floor facility!)" DesertMedic is correct, I did the "no radial means below 90/80, carotid means its above 60, so split the...

    CHF with low BP

And BP was confirmed by palp. No radial but present (weak) carotid pulse. So that ballparks it around 60-70.

    CHF with low BP

no pressors because they're "optional" per oems ; if it's optional You don't have it. Lol. No temp although a few wounds. EKG sinus t-waves peaked but has a hx of hyperkalemia. A med list 10 pages long. Age around 90. DNR/dni. And INR elevated 5.9 or so-- only lab value available.
