NJ makes the whole BLS and ALS thing weird. ALS can only be hospital based. There is only one ALS transport company that I know of in the state. The JCMC program is really good from what Ive heard. But everything else is true, most medic schools require an EMT-B cert along with the usual CPR cert. Acouple college offer the course as a degree but its probably better finding a hospital sponsered course since you need to do riding...
