I have the lovely task assigned of formalizing our current operations of the ambulances during emergency along with non emergency operation (driving).
I an wondering if any one out there would be willing to share their current service or company driving polices?
I am particularly...
When I go out to an excited delirium call I always run a strip and vitals. So far I have not run across any one that I felt needed to be transported. Where I am at, we have a decent relationship with the LEOs and we try not to get in the way or stir up issues. However here the LEOs pretty...
I worked for two years with AMR, and I can honestly say it was the best EMS employer I have worked for. I was sad to see them go, we were truly a family type of unit.
I have worked since with other former AMR'ers that worked in different locations and states that said pretty much the same...
I don't have an Attitude...Let me rephrase I went to get an Medic School packet and They Will not let you into Medic School with out 2 years of EMT experience. This is the standard at both Comm Colleges in a 75 mile radius that offer the program and that are accredited.
I wish I was joking.
Because apparently around this Area its frowned upon to not have two years as a EMT before entering Medic School. I figured since I'll be "killin time" I figured I would work on getting some of the classes out of the way that I will need for AAS of Paramedicine in the mean time.
Thank you...

EMT
EMT-IV (starts IVs with NS or LR)
EMT-P
CCEMT-P

Thus, I have been unable to locate a program that I can go through the...
OTay! Update:

I was wrong about the tech, it was a male. He came through with a few bruises and a small cut on his leg where the cot slammed into him when the securing rails came lose.
He was back to work after the mandatory 3 day medical leave.
Pt:
no injuries but this would...
It was EMT-IV x 2. I don't know what will happen to the girl that was in the back Teching it but The regional Director already fired the driver and said that he was filing a request for suspension of his EMT license.
so far All I have heard is that the Drive cam indicated that he was driving at 66mph (25mph Zone) on a curve two lane back road. I attempted to get a look at the fottage when I was at the AOC but they ushered me out and closed the door with a sign reading "No Blue Shirts Allowed, Management only"
honestly if I woke up from being out of it and found that i had to remove tape from my eyes, I'd be rasing some seroius cane at the attending staff. I doubt very much that I would ever do this. I have with a gloved hand, moved the eyelids closed, but never taped them.
