I was wondering, once you are an experienced EMT what basic medical skills will you possess, i.e. what assessment can you make and what treatments can you administer.

Has anyone taken the EMT course at Foothill college and had to deal with the Health 55 pre-req class? How do you waive the pre-req? And does having a BS in biology help at all?
