    Know what to listen for As long as you know what to listen for, I find that you can use any type. Getting a nice steth could help when listening to Lung sounds.

    Really?? Really?? How many times does a Doc role on scence? We have to have the DNR on scene. When taking a PT I always make sure we have it. and when i don't know I will continue until a base hospitol tells me to stop. Better safe then sorry. I would rather get sued for doing something...

    God Bless them No one said that this job is easy. We all know that there are risks. Taking ricks is why we are others don't do this job. My heart goes out to them. They will be missed. I had a brother that was an EMT on sceane. Rest in Peace my fellow brothers you will be missed.

    Basics before Advanced

    I agree with that. IF you can't do basic Pt assesment and effective BLS skills you have no buisness doing ALS skills. There are too many EMTs and go to Medic school without mastering the simple basic and fail out their first day of pratical because they aren't good EMTs.

    Really? The national test was a joke. I thought that final for the class was the hard test. The national test on the computer was easy. At least was my experence. Anyways we are all on the same team. Enjoy your EMS life. You will love it.
