    In the Army medics are EMTs that are trained to about ARMY level but are certified at basic level.

    Only disadvantage for me for not doing the first 7 weeks is that it is seven fewer weeks of active duty pay, but everything else makes up for it.

    Maybe I read it wrong, but you have to be at least an EMT basic to be a combat medic, plus additional training for IVs and drugs and what not. You do not need to be a citizen, but in most cases you need a green card.

    Actually it's on par with AEMT, they give you EMT after the first seven weeks of training then you have about 10 more weeks of training

    They won't, you go in as an E4 SPC when you go ACASP and fast track through the EMT portion. As for "learn the military way of doing things" that starts after week 7, and you already go through BCT before AIT so that should cover learning to be a soldier.
