pasadena fire has a volunteer program but as far as i know its not taking any applications right now... someone earlier mentioned symons and they aren't taking applications according to their site either. does anyone else know of medical standby-like jobs like that that are also part time...

slight hijack but would delving deeper and going onwards to als/paramedic like career binding? i only got emt-b to get a feel for it and was asking this question myself about if/when to go on to als.

one patient was taken aback when i said 'can i borrow your finger' for a pulse ox. i then told her 'don't worry, i learned how to sow them back on the other day.' laughs ensued but made the doctor mad lol.
