As if anyone needs an excuse to go to Belize! We really need to know what kind of tactical course you are looking for. Mil and civilian police needs are completely different, as are those of PSD details. And each unit gives their medics different responsibilities. No one class fits all...

PS. And they'd be a much better school if they spent half the time on medicine that they spend on PT and uniform BS. And if you think protocols define the quality of a medic, that is another poor reflection on what RCC teaches. But then again, that is the predominant mentality in SoCal.

It weighs three ounces and you can fit a dozen in one BDU pocket. EVERYONE has the practical ability to quickly deploy one if they really want to. Funny how nobody has trouble deploying a BVM when it comes time to do CPR.

Cabinets? What are those? I spent the last 4 years in military ambulances. All the "cabinets" were on our backs.

Excellent observation. No matter how much more you look, it's not going to change in SoCal, unfortunately. It's one of the things that keeps SoCal EMS in 1972. The good news is that their definition of experience has nothing to do with EMS. You just have to survive driving non-EMS transfers...
