How Long After Gall Bladder Surgery Before You Could Return To Work?

This is for anyone that works in EMS that has had their gall bladder removed.

How long did it take for you to go back to work?

I am on FMLA leave and am a little concerned that I will be released too soon. I know my company wants me back in a hurry and they don't really care if it's too soon, to be honest. What I have read online is that it takes 4-6 weeks before you can do any heavy lifting even with a laparoscopic procedure and I am a week post-op at this point.

What were the instructions that your surgeon gave you?
