I work in a lab that tests blood samples...I think you guys would be surprised at the amount of blood we throw away. I've personally tossed 5-6 4mL tubes of a single patient's blood before.
Also, blood in sodium heparin (green) or EDTA (purple/pink) tubes shouldn't coagulate. I've only seen a...
I'm pretty sure he's saying that a bachelors in EMS will basically be useless. Not that a bachelors in something else would be.
If you want to go to nursing school, then do that. Why get a bachelors in something else & then have to go back later in life to get a BSN? Waste of time & a...
I took I think 14-15 credits at a university while commuting about 90 minutes round trip two or three times a week for EMT class. Wasn't an issue for me. I should have gotten an A in the class, but I forgot about a few assignments which dropped me to an A-.

I have 5.11 8" ATACs. I like them a lot & love having the zipper. I wear them around off duty if it snowed or is snowing. Of course, I just got my first EMS job a few months ago, so these are the first & only pair I've ever bought so I don't have anything else to compare them to.

Plus a 5 or 6 dollar pen light.
This happened pretty close to where I live.
Pretty much this.
And that.
If it takes 15 minutes to drive from your house to the ER & 5 min for EMS to get to your house, then you're getting an extra 10 minutes of treatment before you even get to the ER.
Just a sad story.
Our practicals were the last day of the class & then we had to schedule the written on our own.
I finished the class & passed the practicals mid December. I didn't take the written until mid/late February. They suggested we take it ASAP when all the material was fresh; I kind of drug my feet...
Dude, where have you been for years? Anytime stuff like this happens, 99.99999% of the time the LEO gets a paid vacation for a couple weeks until such point as he/she is cleared of all charges, despite the overwelming evidence that they shouldn't be cleared.
