I read the article, and it sounds like from the Hx that she was in a bad with kidney rejection. "Waiting on a 3rd Kidney" That can't be good no matter how close you are to the ER

oh no, the navigation failed...why didn't they use a map? people relay too much on technology these days.

I once rode for a squad, in which there was a choice of 12 different hospitals out patients could be taken to. We made sure that each truck had a set of directions from the town to each hospital. Guess with GPS nowadays, noone thinks of doing things like this anymore.

What is it that complacency does? Oh yeah...it kills.

Just another sad example in the long line of people not doing their jobs in EMS. Isn't the first, and won't be the last, for any type of situation like this.
