What does AE stand for?

On the re-registration brochure for NREMT-B, it says that up to 16 hours of continuing ed can come from "AE". What does that mean?

I think it means Alternative Education...in other words... Computer based (EMCERT, etc) programs... I know they only allow a small % of that type of education for recert.
