What can I do with my cert this summer?

Hey!

I recently got my EMT cert and was planning on getting an ambulance license and applying to some transport/911 companies for this summer, but I kept putting off the ambulance license because of college and I don't think I'll be able to get it in time with COVID-19. I also thought of applying for positions as an ER tech, but it seems like the only openings are full-time, and I have to be back at school mid-September.

Does anyone have any recommendations for volunteer work or part-time jobs in LA or SLO county that would help me gain experience? Thanks!!

Full time doesn't mean indentured servitude. You can still leave in the fall. It has happened before...

ED tech, clinic tech, water/amusement park, private sporting complexes, assisted livings are your basic non transport EMT jobs. Some are actually high volume. Of course, Summer '20 isn't looking so good for the tourism industry, but it may widen the lane for you to sneak into a hospital job, if you're into that.
