Well, over the last week I've been flooded with work, class and rides. The rides... wow. I rode with two different agencies (one busy, one that's normally not) and got to see everything from a couple of seizures (one poor guy had a BGL of 29) to a couple of MVCs. One of them was with entrapment and we had the guy flown out from the scene. I learned the importance of having a decent scope and that I suck at taking vitals while the ambulance is en route to the hospital. All in all it was great experience and I can't wait to do it "for real."
We have three more class meeting and during one of those we're doing our skills night (the state allows the schools to do it for Basic students - medics have to go to Jackson). The light is very much there!
Anyway, hope all's well and I hope I haven't missed too much since I haven't been around much.
