Hi! im recently in a community college right now ,looking for some volunteering work related to EMT. Don't know what are some ideas. They say working or helping in a alerting area helps.

but all i got is this
hospitals
central park unit
getting a medical certificate

Are you looking for places to volunteer to supplement your education, or to get a resume boost?

Hospitals are a good place to volunteer (especially if you can get a spot shadowing in the ED). The American Red Cross is also a good place to volunteer. They usually have First Reponder / CPR classes that are taught by volunteers (my CPR class was taught by an EMT-B). They also have several locations around the country.

i was wondering the same thing.... would it be a smart idea after i get my emt-b to volunteer at an ambulance district? Or volunteer at the local emergency department?
