Vitals or Communiuty

Hello,

Has anyone heard any good or bad things about Vitals in worecester, MA or community? 911? do they hire new paramedics? Shifts hours?


The company that I work now is getting to be to far to drive every day and there only paying me as a emt and I do not feel like I am learning anything new or get expirence.

I don't know much about them but I believe they are sister companies. I saw a Community truck at the BI in Boston that also had some Vital branding on it but I'm not sure how it works. Community used to be known as Marlboro-Hudson Ambulance. I don't think they do 911, maybe backups in Worcester but no contracts that I could find. Community staffs truck medic/basic, not sure about Vital.

Community is the "affiliate" to Vital due to Vital being involved with Medicare fraud at one point. Vital runs dual medic for new medics and after 6 months or so goes to P/B or P/I. vital does back up for Worchester EMS (WEMS). I know someone that works there so if you want more info just shoot me a PM and I can ask them for you. Oh, Community also recently acquired the Milford 911 contract from AMR. They also do 911 intercept/back up for surrounding towns in that area.
