First off welcome to SC (Sowf Cakalacky, you will learn)
I don't know what your certification level or experience level is, but that is what Charleston will base your salary on. You can figue EMT will be in the mid-30s, EMT-I high 30s, and EMT-P will be high 40s-low 50s. Again these are just ball park averages for the busier services in the state.
In SC, there are plenty of jobs for EMTs and paramedics alike. Ever since they cranked the paramedic course up to almost two years long, there has been a shortage. We can't make medics fast enough. Most people would rather take that two years and become a nurse.

Next up, it's CHARLESTON. They dropped the "W" from it about the time we dropped the British.
