San Francisco Bay area EMT jobs?

I am and EMT-B and looking at moving to the San Francisco area, maybe in one of the surrounding counties. Can anyone tell me what the pay is up there and if there are any goofy rules that keep me from working there? I heard I have to work "under" a paramedic first, is that true everywhere? I have all my certs, where do I go and who is hiring? Thanks!!!

Third, if you are too lazy to do this research yourself and figure out "where you go and who is hiring" (seriously???!?) you are going to be *far* too unresourceful to land a job here, in one of the most competitive and oversaturated EMS markets in the country.
