Realistic Job Preview during recruitment phase

Hi everyone, I am a paramedic from Singapore. I would like to understand how helpful would a Realistic Job Preview or like a ride-along during the recruitment phase be in employing/retaining staff. Would appreciate your input on whether your country does something similar, and also what does it involves.

Most places I worked at didn’t have a ride along or job preview prior to hire except for my current employer. They offered ride alongs prior for prospective candidates.
One AMR division I worked at offered a ride along which I did not do, but ended up being a great division

Hi, thanks for sharing! What are the components involved in the ride-along in your company?
Also, would you say the ride-along is more of a deciding factor for the candidates or the employer?
