Im going to start a emt course on september but im still attending high school i had a few question about the course/classes:

1. How challenging are the Emt-B Classes?
2. How hard is the NYS exam?
3. What is the best way to prepare for the exam?
4. What can i start after im done with certification and waiting on a job?

1. EMT-B classes are not that challenging at all, as long as you study. That's the main thing, you need to make sure you pay attention in class, do the homework THOROUGHLY and make sure you have a good grasp on it.

2. I have no idea, sorry

3. Two words, study and practice (3 words if you count and, however I am not). The only way you'll be able to make sure you're ready is to study hard and work hard in your clinicals, get as much practice as possible, because once you're confident that you know what you're doing it will be much easier and remove some of the anxiety.

4. Not really sure what you mean

1. The emt-b class is not to difficult if you are determined to pass. there are people in my class who skip all of the "boring" lectures and practicals and i am sure they will fail. If you study and practice with friends it will be easy.

4. After you get your cert it may be hard to find a job that will take you since you have no field experience. I suggest that you voulenteer for a while and it will give you more job opertunities.

It's a one step at a time sorta thing.

It all starts with taking the work seriously.

Easy or hard are relative to your own strengths and weaknesses. You'll find them all.

Focus, focus, focus, then go out and learn more.

Everything else will fall in to place from there.
