Hi I just started the process of moving to southern Oregon, looking for jobs first. From what I can tell, the only people hiring in the near future are looking for intermediates, even the northern California agencies are not anticipating needing EMT Basics any time soon. I was interested in upgrading anyway so this seems like as good a time as any. I have spent a few days trying to locate an Intermediate course, but was wondering which level Oregon uses.
I have tried Oregon EMS's website, even checking their reciprocity page, where they say they want I/99 if you had not been educated in Oregon, but haven't been able to locate an I/99 class that is relatively nearby. For additional insight I've looked online, done a search on the forum, and called Oregon EMS (waiting on a return call), and was just wondering if anybody in Oregon might have some additional information as to which level of intermediate the state uses while I wait on the return phone call. I would really appreciate any info.
