Hey all I am new medic with 2 questions, Thanks for your help in advance.
First I am making me a "cheat-sheet" to keep in my clip board with some hospital addresses and phone numbers as well as things like the burn formula, GCS scale and things. Is there anything that you would advise me to put on it?
Second, Im not trying to make my own jump bag or anything like that but I have a little bag that I want to keep with me while at work with like my stethoscope and some pens and stuff in it, what are some "nice to haves" that you think I should keep with me?

On your cheat sheet, I would also keep basic med math calculations, door codes to hospitals always helped, PEDS drug dosages, and maybe some abbreviations for med terms. I have one in my clip board too, and the majority of what is on it is anything I had trouble with in school.

As for your little bag... I probably wouldn't carry one... why carry two bags if everything is already in your big bag. Keep all of your go-to's in a side pouch (gloves, bp cuff, ears, glasses, and a penlight) that way you don't have to carry extra things that don't necessarily need to be kept separately from everything else. This is just IMO. I also have a huge fear of being labeled as that Ricky-rescue medic though . The best medic I know refuses to wear a fanny pack or carry more than one bag.

ER door codes, ED triage phone numbers, and an explanation of what each radio channel is for (i.e. CMED 4 is for hailing, CMED 6 is for talking, etc). The door codes are a must, it's one way you can look a lot less new at first glance.

Idk I bring a pack with my book and my iPhone charger/FM transmitter. Sometimes I put my shears and a penlight in there, and I think there is a N95 mask, extra pens, altoids, a Tide stain pen, and some requisitioned seals to put on the cabinet with the BP cuff in it. Writing an equipment request form out for a single seal on a compartment that I used nothing from is silly. Lunch/dinner goes in a separate cooler.
