Is it competitive to get into? I heard it's pretty expensive relative to colleges. So will that mean there won't be as many people applying to it?

(For NCTI Riverside)Not competitive. costs btw 9-10k. I know good and bad medics that have come from there. A lot of our medics teach skills there, I will most likely be precepting for them this year. Honestly while I do believe there are better programs for less money, it is isn't as bad as people think. I have heard if you pass their little intro A+P and pay your money, you're in.

Awesome. Thanks. Money wont be an issue, since i will be investing in the opportunity to learn to save lives. But if I dont pass the class, then money will be an issue. Haha. But as much as I want to take it at my community college, Im dying for a change. Instead of moving out to go to a university, im moving out to become a medic.

I took the EMT-B course through NCTI in Texas and I now wish I had made the time to go to a community college. I know several folks who went through their Paramedic program. Obviously there are going to be differences but overall I would try to find an alternative to NCTI if possible. Just mho.
