Anybody here been through the program, or going to be going through it?

Getting my Iowa EMT-B this spring since I let my MD certification expire.

I will be starting it Spring of 2013 (bummed that it only starts in the spring, I'd be ready to start this fall.)

Also, any advice of what I could do during this fall while I wait to start the core part of the program? (Besides volunteering, I will be hopefully riding by then.) PHTLS? Keep self studying Dubin's book etc? Lurking on emtlife?
