I am doing much better now after Mom's death. I still have my moments and I still cry sometimes and miss her but I think that is normal. She is in a better place, free from AD. I am able to think of some memories and not get choked up. It's a process and I will be ok.
Thanks to all who responded to my post pertaining to this. One of the things Mom told me a few days before she died was never let go of my dreams of being a medic. I wouldn't be doing anyone a service by quitting what I love. I am very fortunate to have people on this forum to steer me straight. Thanks for the words, encouragement and for believing in me.
Take care
