Job Openings in DC?

I'll admit I laughed. And for how much they are paid I'm not surprised about the lack of professionalism.

they tendered their resignations? why? it's stupid, they deserve a reprimand, but it's not something that should cost them their jobs.

a massive over reaction by AMR, who likely told them to resign or they would be terminated.

Never, ever "tender your resignation".

If you have done something so wrong, then be fired!

The only caveat I can think of is if you have a retirement check dependent upon whether you were fired or resigned (personal friend had this situation), then yes, absolutely quit to ensure you still qualify for your money.

But generally speaking, do NOT do the hard part for the employer. It will not follow you in as negative way as you think.
