Greetings All! Just wanted to finally introduce myself after several weeks of eavesdropping. I found your site while doing some research on EMS before volunteering with my local ambulance corps about 5 months ago, and was drawn in by the knowledge, experience, and humor your members bring to their discussions.
Right now I am still somewhat in "God, I have no idea what I am doing" mode, but with every call and training session I surprise myself with what I actually know now that I didn't know then. My confidence has improved to the point that I've decided to take a EMT-B course this summer, but I know that I am going to need a lot of help and support from those that have gone before me. Luckily, it seems that most people in this field are willing to share their knowledge and experiences to encourage and teach.
I look forward to speaking with you all again as I go through this process!
You'll also notice that I don't post a lot in forums like this...otherwise I would not have sent the same message 3 times. Great way to start out:blush:
